Royal Air Force History at Bircham Newton<\/span><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Heritage Centre at Bircham Newton has a unique collection of memorabilia from the former Royal Air Force station\u2019s past service, which spanned more than 44 years, including two world wars and the Cold War.  On display are photographs and personal memories of servicemen who served there and other related items from its fascinating history. The Centre is manned and run entirely by volunteers, many of whom are ex-servicemen or children of service personnel.  Close by there are two stone memorials to remember those who served at Bircham Newton and its main satellite airfield near Docking.<\/p>\n

Easter<\/strong>: Sunday, 1st<\/sup> of April and Monday, 2nd<\/sup> of April.<\/p>\n

Early May Bank Holiday Weekend<\/strong>: Sunday, 6th<\/sup> and Monday, 7th<\/sup> of May.<\/p>\n

Veterans\u2019 Day<\/strong>: Saturday, 19th<\/sup> of May starting at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

Spring Bank Holiday Weekend<\/strong>: Sunday, 27th<\/sup> and Monday, 28th<\/sup> of May.<\/p>\n

Last Sunday in June<\/strong>: 24th<\/sup> of June.<\/p>\n

Last Sunday in July<\/strong>: 29th<\/sup> of July.<\/p>\n

Summer Bank Holiday Weekend<\/strong>: Sunday, 26th<\/sup> and Monday, 27th<\/sup> of August.<\/p>\n

Last Sunday in September<\/strong>:30th<\/sup> of September.<\/p>\n

Opening times are from 10am to 4pm.
\nEntrance is FREE.
\nDisabled access and toilet facilities are also provided.
