RAFA and Veterans Day at the Museum<\/h1>\n

Sunday 8th Aug 2021…<\/h1>\n

The Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum<\/strong><\/span> will hold the annual RAFA and Veterans Day <\/span><\/strong>on Sunday the 8th Aug 2021<\/strong><\/span>.  The Museum will be open from 100<\/strong>0 until 1600<\/span><\/strong> and entry is free, as is parking on the day.<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"Flypast…..s <\/h3>\n

Yes, more than one!  <\/strong>Subject to weather conditions on the day and their operational commitments, we are still on course to see both the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows<\/strong><\/span> and the Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight<\/strong><\/span> as they propose to flypast the Museum on the day.  As well as the Red Arrows overflight, the BBMF will have one of their Spitfire<\/strong> <\/span>aircraft do a flyby over the Museum on Sunday. <\/p>\n

The Red Arrows have said that they will liaise with the BBMF and the timings will be announced on the day when the Red Arrows and the BBMF have their schedules arranged.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Lots to Do<\/span><\/h3>\n

This is the annual Royal Air Force Association Day<\/strong> <\/span>at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum.<\/p>\n

Come along and meet members of the local Royal Air Forces Association and other military Veterans. Enjoy talking to these veterans and take a look at the 1000\u2019s of artefacts, 60 aircraft and cockpits as well as the themed rooms.<\/p>\n

There will be the chance to try on uniforms and handle artefacts.  Also the possibility to fly in the Flight Simulators. <\/p>\n

<\/span>NAAFI Caf\u00e9<\/span><\/h3>\n

The NAAFI Caf\u00e9 is open again in the main hangar.  As well as displaying numerous pieces of artwork donated to the Museum the NAAFI is serving muffins, crisps, Eccles cakes, flapjacks and numerous other snacks along with soft drinks, tea and coffee.<\/p>\n

<\/span>Family Friendly<\/span><\/h3>\n

The onsite shop has both museum and aircraft-related items for sale.  Items range in price from “pocket money” upwards, with lots of models and toys for the children.  The shop also serves drinks, sweets and ice creams. <\/p>\n

With picnic tables throughout the site, we have plenty of space for the whole family. <\/p>\n

We are wheelchair friendly in all areas apart from aircraft cockpits.<\/p>\n

Dogs are welcome in all areas apart from the shop.  We request you keep your dogs on a leash at all times. <\/p>\n
