style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>One Of Our Aircraft Has Moved<\/strong><\/span>&#8220;, because the day finally arrived for the Spit to move south to its new home at the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kbobm.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kent Battle of Britain Museum<\/a><\/strong> at <strong>Hawkinge<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The teams from <strong>Hawkinge<\/strong> and <strong>Simply Spitfire<\/strong> arrived on Monday the 11th Oct 2021, and together with volunteers from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aviationmuseum.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum<\/a><\/strong> started the process of dismantling and removing the aircraft from the main hangar in order to transport it to Kent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The volunteers at NASAM had previously moved some of the exhibits from around the Spitfire so that the team from Kent would be able to gain access to the aircraft and start the dismantling process.&nbsp; The combined teams then reduced the aircraft to manageable parts that would be able to be loaded onto the trailer or into the van that the Hawking team had brought with them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Most of the dismantling took place by the teams in situ in the main hangar and after a blast of air into the tyres, the main fuselage was rolled across the floor and out and onto the trailer.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After loading the aircraft departed Flixton for its new home in Kent where it will join
