text-decoration: underline;\">Around The Museum&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\r\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Painters_Update\"><\/span>Painters Update<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<h5><strong>24\/10\/23 \u2013 How wet can we get?<\/strong><\/h5>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Well folks, it was pretty squelchy at El Museo this week as Storm Babet continued to do her thang. The team arrived to find the field adjacent to the car park mainly underwater (see pic 2310 16), and one would have needed a snorkel and flippers to go down the Adair Walk today (see pic 2310 17).<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The very wet conditions precluded any Valetta action, so the boys and girls looked around for alternative employment. Ian claimed \u2018provisional pole\u2019 in the Flixton Sprint GP, sanding and then priming the flagpole residing in the Metal Workshop. Gwen went off to the Link Trainer Room to paint some boards recently put up by the Chippies. Cliff, as \u2018OC\u2019 Paint, went off and did senior management-type things.&nbsp; Barry decided that as it was already wet, why not get wetter! For reasons best known to himself, Barry went off to pressure wash the F100 and Meteor in the front paddock. Both aircraft were looking decidedly green with algae after the recent warm and wet weather (see pic 2310 18).<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Around midday, pressure washing was interrupted by the arrival of Paul from EPS, who had come to fit the one outstanding set of markings to the Hunter (the \u201cCUT HERE FOR EMERGENCY RESCUE\u201d). With the rain still tipping down, this decal proved difficult to fit as none of the alignment masking tape would stick to the soggy Hunter! After some wiping down and the making up an improvised rain shield, Paul and Barry managed to get the final two decals onto the aircraft. Job done.<\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After lunch, Ian came down to the front paddock to help with the pressure washing, but mainly to play with Mark\u2019s new extendable jet wand (see pic 2310 19). By close of play the F100 and Meteor were looking a bit cleaner (see pic 2310 20), but both had unfortunately lost a bit of paint in the process!<\/p>\r\n<h5>Barry<\/h5>\r\n<h4><span
