<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>As we have now moved into the quiet period when the museum is closed for the winter break, I thought I would publish some stats in a short article on how the <strong>Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum<\/strong> blog has been progressing.<\/p>\n<p>Back in June (2017), I was asked to develop a museum blog and after a review of potential hosting sites and blog software, the first live blog was posted on the <strong>5th July<\/strong> and was a report on the 446 Memorial repairs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-medium fasc-type-popout fasc-rounded-medium ico-fa fasc-ico-before fa-hand-o-left fasc-style-bold\" style=\"background-color: #328de3; color: #ffffff;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/aviationmuseum.site\/index.php\/2017\/07\/05\/446-memorial-garden\/\">First blog posting<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since that time a number of people have made contributions to the blog, and we have published from a number of areas of the museum with; snippets from the VP, notes from the Chairman, visits, education days, special events, renovations, department updates, nature at NASAM and toy planes, to mention a few.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With the blog postings automatically going through onto our Facebook pages and also onto the Twitter feed, we have reached a wide variety of people and an audience around the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some of the incidental stats <strong>up to the end of the year 2017,<\/strong> are as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We published<strong> 80 blogs<\/strong> and <strong>pages<\/strong> during the period.<\/li>\n<li>The blog site has had <strong>3842 blog\/pages viewed<\/strong> from <strong>1370 visits<\/strong> by individuals.\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Visits<\/strong>, this is not unique visitors, as some people will make numerous visits, this is just a visitor count.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">What it does show is that on average, <strong>each person reads 2.8 pages.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>On average <strong>21 pages<\/strong> have been read <strong>each day<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Having posted each of the blogs automatically onto the two main social media sites (Facebook and Twitter), <strong>Facebook<\/strong> is by far the most popular of our social media sites and the largest source of links back to the blog.&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">The Stats from the <strong>Facebook site<\/strong> tell us that on average we <strong>reach<\/strong> <strong>just under 1000 people each week<\/strong> on Facebook with the abbreviated blog postings<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">We have <strong>1538 followers on Facebook<\/strong> and <strong>31 on Twitter feed<\/strong> (which is relatively new to the Museum).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>We had <strong>252<\/strong> hits coming directly from the Aviation Museum Main Web Site.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-medium fasc-type-popout fasc-rounded-medium ico-fa fasc-ico-after fa-hand-o-right fasc-style-bold\" style=\"background-color: #eb5573; color: #ffffff;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.aviationmuseum.net\/\">Visit the Museum Web Site<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Having published the Aviva Community Fund appeal for the Adair Boardwalk Repairs, <strong>47<\/strong> people went directly to the Aviva website (hopefully to vote).<\/li>\n<li>The most read page, apart from the home page, is &#8220;<strong>Rotting Logs<\/strong>&#8221; which has been read <strong>80 times.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-medium fasc-type-popout fasc-rounded-medium ico-fa fasc-ico-after fa-hand-o-right fasc-style-bold\" style=\"background-color: #328de3; color: #ffffff;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/aviationmuseum.site\/index.php\/2017\/12\/14\/flixton-rotting-logs\/\">Most Read Page<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Most popular day to visit the blog site each week is a <strong>Wednesday.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Most popular time to visit the blog site each day is <strong>1900<\/strong> hrs (UK time).<\/li>\n<li>The best daily hit rate was on <strong>16<sup>th<\/sup> September 2017<\/strong>.&nbsp;\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">This was the day we published The Historic Weapon Display Group Event.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><a class=\"fasc-button fasc-size-medium fasc-type-popout fasc-rounded-medium ico-fa fasc-ico-after fa-hand-o-right fasc-style-bold\" style=\"background-color: #328de3; color: #ffffff;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/aviationmuseum.site\/index.php\/2017\/09\/16\/historic-weapons-display-group-day-2017\/\">Historic Weapons Group Posting<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The number of authors who have made contributions is <strong>19<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The number of people registered to be notified by email about postings is currently <strong>20<\/strong>.&nbsp;
