Sea Prince gets a new Coat of Paint<\/span><\/h2>\n

Having completed the repaint of the Hunter aircraft, the Paint Team moved onto the Sea Prince in August of this year.<\/p>\n

The Sea Prince is used regularly on school visit days as part of the education programme run at the Museum. The aircraft is also open to the public on some Event Days and also when we have enough Volunteers to \u2018crew\u2019 this and the two aircraft which we open (the Fokker F27 200 and the Vickers Valetta C2).<\/p>\n

Over the winter months, the Sea Prince had lost a fair amount of sheen, and the paint had become dull and discoloured, with some paint was flaking off.  The aircraft was therefore sanded back with all the loose paint being removed, parts undercoated and then given a new topcoat all over.<\/p>\n

Finishing touches and the markings were completed at the end of September.<\/p>\n

The Paint Team have now moved onto the Trojan, and that is now undergoing a complete repaint.<\/p>\n
