So was born the AMES 6 family of radars, also known as TGRI 5109 or TGRI 5124. The complete radar and operating crew could be carried in a 3-ton lorry. If radio communication facilities were needed, it required a further lorry.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Indicator Unit Type 74<\/strong> <\/span>was the display unit covering a 50-mile radius.&nbsp;
