South Norfolk 41 Club @ The Museum …
On the evening of Tuesday, the 31st July 2018, 14 members of the South Norfolk 41 Club arrived for a guided tour of the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum. They were taken around the museum to various points of interest.
They were told about the history of our Vickers Valetta aircraft, the building of the East Anglian Airfields during World War II, the fibreglass Spitfire, and why it shouldn’t exist, the R100 engine room telegraph and why it ended up in our museum plus several other stories about our exhibits.
We hope that the members enjoyed the tour as much as we enjoyed showing them around.
What is the 41 Club ?? …
For those that do not know; the 41 Club was formed in 1945 to provide a way for members of Round Table to continue their friendships after retirement from Round Table at the then obligatory age of 40. The full name is “The Association of Ex-Round Tablers’ Clubs” and it forms part of “The Round Table Family”.
