MG Cars at NASAM – The Nelson County Car Run …
MG, Classic and Interesting cars arrived at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum throughout Sunday the 19th Aug 2018. 
These were participants of the Nelson County Car Run that finished at the Museum, where prizes were awarded and, according to the NAAFI Cafe, copious amounts of tea and coffee were consumed, and cake stocks were decimated.

On Sunday 19th August, 150 cars arrived at Easton & Otley College Nr. Norwich for the 5th running of the Nelson County Car Run organised by Norwich MG Owners Club. On arrival at the college, each entrant booked in and received a Rally Plaque and detailed Route Book for them to follow as they made their way to the finish at Flixton Aviation Museum.
Before departure, everybody enjoyed Bacon Roll plus Tea or Coffee to help sustain them on the trip of nearly 80 miles.
The route took the cars westward to the Watton area before turning south to Diss and then onto Harleston and finally Flixton. On arrival, the marshalls ensured everybody was parked safely and were directed to the main hanger where light refreshments were available. This was also where any lucky people were able to claim their raffle prizes.
The line up of Classic cars amongst the aircraft at Flixton had many people out with their cameras to record the day. Norwich MGOC awarded prizes to the crew who had travelled furthest to take part, the best MG on the day, The Best Car of the day and the most Interesting car of the day. Slowly all the cars departed after what had been another very successful day.
The “Best MG on the Day” Award went to Simon and Hannah Carroll from Gressenhall near Dereham in their 1957 MG-A.
