The Shop Refit – A New Lick of Paint Outside …
Over the Christmas/ New Year break the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum shop had a complete refit inside as reported in a series of blogged articles.

At that time, the weather was too poor to allow the outside to be given a much needed facelift. That has now been rectified.
Visitors last week may have noticed that the “P” of shop outside had vanished, unfortunately it didn’t come off the wall cleanly as the other letters did, but it has since been repaired and the other letters have joined it in the workshop for painting.
The museum is closed on Fridays so on Thursday afternoon all the signs were removed from the frontage. On Friday morning the wall was cleaned down, cobwebs removed, and a first coat of paint applied. After a brief lunch the second coat was applied. Unfortunately not all the paint ended up on the wall, both painters looking as if they had applied woad to themselves like Ancient Britons.
The “shop” sign has now been replaced and so the outside looks as good as the inside.
Looking good.
