East Coast Pirates @ NASAM 13 May 2018

East Coast Pirates at the Museum on 13 May 2018

Formed in August 2006 by a group of friends and a club that has been growing ever since, the East Coast Pirates made their annual run to the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum on Sunday 13th May 2018.

Despite some pre-visit issues concerning parking arrangements and the poor weather start, it is estimated that around 60+ vehicles attended.  This was very much down on last year, and indeed a number of years in the past.  It is estimated that over 300 vehicles made the journey last year.

The vehicles that did arrive were an eclectic mix, with both old and new, modified, hotrod and sports cars, bikes and trikes.  The cars were also a mix of American, European and Japanese as the photos show.

Although the turnout was not as big as the last few years, the visitors seemed to enjoy themselves especially as the weather improved during the day.  We hope for better weather and a bigger turnout next year.

The club meets at the Joyland Diner, on Gt Yarmouth’s ‘Famous Golden Mile’on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.

We look forward to welcoming them back next year.  The club has booked Sunday 12th May 2019 for their next run to the Museum.
