Visit .. Holmwood Residential Care Home .. 13th July 2018
Yesterday volunteer Yvonne Elliott and myself visited Holmwood Residential Care Home in Bungay for a Reminiscence Afternoon.
We had a delightful time with residents recalling their lives during the war years. Many tried on hats, helmets and gas masks. They all remembered rationing, green shield stamps and ‘old’ money. All of them had dementia but really entered into the spirit of the afternoon.
It is very rewarding and heartwarming to meet these grand old folk.
