Saturday Openings – More To Come
As you may have read in this Blog the museum opened on Saturdays over the local school holidays. This was a departure from our usual opening times and we were unsure whether it would be a success. We are really pleased to say that almost 1000 visitors said that it was. We welcomed a great many people who had read about us mostly from on-line social media information.
The aircraft access passes also proved to be a great success with well over 100 people taking advantage of the opportunity to get up close and personal with eight of our exhibits. From the Second World War Anderson Shelter to the 1960s Folland Gnat Cockpit Procedures trainer the exhibits proved to be a great attraction.
We are already starting to plan what additional opening we will do next year, and are also looking at making the passbooks available on other days that we’re open. Watch this space for information.
A good time was had by all.
