Museum Closure until Further Notice

LATEST INFORMATION

Please note that the information in this blog has been superseded and is now out of date.  The latest information on the COVID situation and the reopening of the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum can be found by clicking on the button below.

Due to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum has decided to close until further notice.

In accordance with UK Government advice, to prevent all non-essential contact and in order to protect our own volunteer workforce (the majority who are over 70), the Museum will remain shut until such time as it is seen safe to reopen.

All events at the Museum up to and including the VE day on the 3rd or May are cancelled.  This includes:

  • Norfolk Internal Combustion Engines on Sun 5th Apr
  • East Anglian Air Ambulance Easter Egg Hunt on Sun 12th Apr
  • Beaver and Cub Air Activities Day on Sat 25th Apr
  • Viva Drivers Club Visit on Sun 26th Apr
  • VE 75th Anniversary and 40s Themed Day at the Museum on Sun 3 May

Further details on opening and events will be given as soon as they are known.  These details will be published on our blog, Facebook page and Twitter feed.  Please stay in touch via these outlets:

Sad to see the museum closing as I have enjoyed volunteering with you the last few weeks but fully support the move to shut down during the present situation. Stay safe and look after each other 👍
