Autumnal …
The three Sundays that we have opened so far at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum have been very warm and pleasant. This has been quite lucky as we now have to man the gate to ensure that we don’t exceed the numbers allowed on site.
A quick look at the forecast for this weekend, when we are open Saturday and Sunday, reveals that whilst it should not be wet it is very unlikely to be anywhere near as warm! A quick discussion at one of our regular volunteer meetings and it was decided that the Civil Defence Signal Van would be the ideal shelter for the immediate future, pending delivery and erection of a tailor-made wooden building.
The van was duly moved to the entrance on Tuesday and we are once again ready to welcome visitors, without the risk of hypothermia!
