Beaver, Cub and Scout Air Activities Day ….
Yesterday at the museum, 85 Cubs and Beavers from Kesgrave, Hadleigh, Samford and Pakefield, together with adult leaders undertook Stage 2 of the Aviation Skills Badge at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum.
To complete this badge, the youngsters had to learn about the dangers on an airfield, the parts of an aircraft and what they are for, different jobs that aircraft do and what it was like to be in the USAAF 446 Bomb Group during the Second World War.
They also built stomp rockets, polystyrene gliders and learned to fly on our simulators.
The museum runs two of these days each year, one in the Spring and one the Autumn. The next date is planned for Sat 29th September 2018 from 09:30 to 16:00.
