The Shop @ NASAM

The Shop …

During the Christmas closure museum volunteers won’t just be putting their feet up. We plan to redecorate and update the toilets during the break, but more importantly, we are going to update the shop.

The shop is an important part of the museum, and over the Christmas closure we will be stripping it out completely, then starting again.

Work has already started and our chippies have been building the new counter and cabinets. There isn’t space in their workshop for all of the new furniture, and it needs to be painted before it goes in. Every spare piece of space in the hangars is temporarily full of shop cabinets and counters as the painters get to work.

On Thursday 13th December we start to strip out the shop to a bare shell, then we can redecorate the walls before installing the new furniture.

Updates will follow as we progress the work.
