Winter Decorations @ NASAM
The two Sparrow missiles delivered to the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum site last year will hopefully soon be mated to our new exhibit. The problem is that once they are fitted into the lower fuselage recesses, it will not be possible to paint the top surface of them.
It was therefore decided to move them into the hangar in order to repaint the surfaces before the host aircraft arrives.
Next problem, they each weigh around 200Kg. Two wooden barrows, a team of six, and some careful manoeuvring soon had them safely perched inside the hangar ready for attention.
