NASAM – Reopen At Last

Reopen At Last …

After several months of preparation, the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum was at last ready to open its doors again. On Sunday the 6th September, the gates were opened and within ten minutes three cars had arrived. New procedures were in place, we had to check people in for NHS Test and Trace, and we are only allowed 200 on-site at any time so people were counted in and out. The hangar complex and other buildings also have limits, but we did not have many queues during the day, and there is a lot outside to see as well.

Visitors included members of the Norfolk Military Vehicle Group with a pair of Jeeps.

Around 258 people visited during the day, with about 120 on-site at the peak.

Sadly we have not yet completed the changes needed to open the NAAFI, but we are working on it and expect to be able to serve visitors a cuppa within the next few weeks.
